Eluent Pump
The high pressure pump delivers eluent to the IC manifold. The eluent pump incorporates a
diaphragm damper which reduces pulsation in the system by as much as 98%. It includes an
isolated pressure transducer which adds no volume to the system. The eluent pump has a keypad
to set the flow rate and the pressure limit. The module stops pumping automatically if the
pressure exceeds the pressure limit. The display on the pump shows the flow rate, maximum
and minimum allowable pressures and the actual system pressure.
Sample Processing Module
A major component of the IC Option is the IC Sample Processing Module (ICSPM). A Sample
Processing Module is also known as a channel. The SPM or channel is part of the System Unit.
The ICSPM would be added to the FIA System Unit you currently own and consists of the following:

 |
High Pressure Sample Injection Valve |
 |
Ion Profiling Module containing the guard and analytical columns |
 |
MicroSuppressor™ |
 |
Conductivity Detector |
